Government of Canada for failure to pass Bill C-99 “An Act to amend the Citizenship Act”

Why?
June 21, 2019 – Failure to pass Bill C-99 “An Act to Amend the Citizenship Act” that was only introduced in the House on May 29, 2019.
Comment
The Liberal Party had almost 4 years from the release of the TRC Summary Report in June 2015 to address this Call to Action. The Bill was only introduced on May 29, 2019, three weeks before the summer recess effectively killed the Bill.
Potential Solution

Conservative Party of Canada in the Senate and the House of Commons for scuttling Indigenous legislation including Bill C-99 “An Act to Amend the Citizenship Act

Why?
June 21, 2019 – Continuous stalling by Conservative senators on advancing any private members bill and limiting debate to ensure that legislation would not pass the Senate and proceed to the House to be enacted into law.
Comment
The unelected Conservative senators deliberately scuttled three distinct Indigenous pieces of legislation through their delaying tactics even though these bills had secured a majority of support from the elected representatives in the House of Commons:
Bill C-99 – Citizenship Act: didn’t have enough time to advance past the House of Commons
Bill C-262 – UNDRIP Yes = 206; No = 79 (all Conservatives)
Bill C-369 National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (Yes = 211 and No = 87 (all Conservatives)
