The 2017-2018 Action Plan continues to build on priorities identified during the board planning sessions in 2016, and it provides for continuation of some of the specific initiatives associated with the 2016-2017 Action Plan.

- Fulfil the commitments made in the new Statement of Complicity and Commitment to Change;
- Respond to the Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission
- Implement pertinent elements of the Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission through the following initiatives;
- Support and implement the Accord in Indigenous Education.

- Engage with the National Indigenous Accreditation Board and implement the commitments made in 2016 Memorandum of Understanding
- Scholarly Activities
- Collaborate with the Federation in planning and implementing cross- disciplinary/professional activities for Congress 2018
- Build bridges
