New funding to help support child care in the province, in partnership with the federal government, as the centres are set to fully reopen September 1. Ford says the two governments have invested $234.6 million for childhood and early-years settings among licensed daycare facilities.

Ford says the child-care money will be used to enhance hygiene and public safety protocols, and additional staffing for facilities including licensed daycare providers and First Nations Child and Family programs.
